At last I found you again, my little jewel! One of the best homegrown zombie films I have ever suffered.

Endlich habe ich dieses Filmchen wiedergefunden. Ein kleines Juwel. Drei Jugendliche fahren mit dem Boot auf ein Insel in einem kleinen See, könnte der Neufelder See oder soetwas in der Größe sein, rundherum besiedelt. Sie bezahlen, um dort ein Wochenende lang Zombies abknallen zu dürfen. Der Vermieter der Insel lässt die Jungs mit Gewehren und Munition zurück und sagt, er komme in zwei Tagen wieder. Was für ein Spaß!! ....

Films like "The Ring" vs. Zombies and the holy sacraments

I don't like horror movies like "The Ring". They are really scary. I don't like movies that really scare me. I like movies describing threats you can conquer or at least fight against. You can fight zombies, but you can't fight a fucking monster-girl like in "The Ring". That sucks. Movies like that are not good for the audiance, for their minds and brains. We don't understand that asian world of horror anyway. They have other demons as we have.
Anyways, besides carrying firearms and unlimited ammo, you always should be in the state of grace. Being in peace with God helps you fight, and in case you lose the fight, it helps you die well and rest in peace.

Handheld camera, absolutely realistic looking footage, frighteningly realistic, the best after .... I don't know but ... it's in any case a canonical zombie movie done with a technique never a zombie movie had been done with before. It feels like you are in the scene, part of the scene. It feels like watching the news on TV or footage of your friends last holiday (well, really his LAST one)
